Motorola Edge 20 series: What we know so far

Motorola quietly introduced the Edge 20 series of phones, and now Mukul Sharma claims that two more Motorola phones are coming very soon. On Weibo, the company recently posted a promotional video confirming the Edge S Pro moniker. On August 5, the much-anticipated Motorola Edge S replacement will hit shop shelves. The Moto G100 was the name given to the Edge S when it was released worldwide.

 There are three smartphones in the Edge 20 series: the Edge 20 Lite, Edge 20 Pro, and Edge 20. It is unknown whether the second model to arrive in India will be the Lite or Pro smartphone, and it is expected to cost around INR 30,000 (approximately $403). More leaks about the Edge 20 line-up could appear on the web in the future, revealing more pricing and availability information.

In a new promotional video shared on its Weibo account, the Lenovo-owned firm previewed a few features of the Edge S Pro, as previously announced. The promotional video reveals a new phone’s “Ready for” feature, which was ultimately revealed to be the Edge S Pro. The phone will be unveiled in China on August 5 at 7:30 p.m. local time via a live stream. You can take advantage of the above-mentioned resources.

The device is now equipped with the ability to link to an external display. A 50X zoom and 5G connectivity are among the other features announced on the official website. Apart from that, the phone would weigh 163 grams and have a thickness of 6.99mm. It could be marketed as the Edge 20 Pro in China.

To put it another way, it may have a 6.7-inch display with a high refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone could have a triple camera configuration on the back in terms of optics. A 108-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel secondary camera with a macro and ultra-wide lens, and an 8-megapixel camera with a 50X Super Zoom telephoto lens and 5x high-resolution optical zoom are all likely to be included in one rear-mounted camera module.

A 4,500mAh battery that supports 30W rapid charging will keep the phone fueled up.


The Edge 20, along with its Pro and Lite versions, has a 6.7-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. A fingerprint scanner is located on the side of the Lite model.

The Edge 20 and 20 Pro, on the other hand, will include a fingerprint sensor built into the screen. The Snapdragon 778G will power the Edge 20, while the Snapdragon 870 will power the Edge 20 Pro. Similarly, the Edge 20 Lite will be equipped with a Dimensity 720. They’ll be powered by a 4,000mAh, 4,500mAh, and 5,000mAh battery, respectively. All three models will be able to charge at 30W. In short, the device can carry out functions such as iOS transfers with ease.


The Edge 20 series has a 32MP front shooter in terms of optics. The periscope will be replaced by an 8MP camera with 3x zoom on the Edge 20. The Lite model will have a 108-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens.

Summing Up

Motorola has been in the smartphone manufacturer game for a long time. While its devices may not be the most popular they are strong contenders. The Motorola Edge 20 series seems impressive on paper, we’ll have to test it out to determine if it lives up to its name.
